Tomy Ames

My name is “Tomy,” which is said like “Tommy” but only has one “m.”
 

I am a PhD student in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology at Washington University in St. Louis.  Previously I earned an MA in Philosophy from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Most of my research is within the philosophy of cognitive science, epistemology, and the mind, focusing on perception, memory, and emotions, but usually not all at once. I have also written on synesthesia, aphantasia, delusions, artificial intelligence, group theory, and the self.
 

I am also a healthcare administrator, business owner, and former Vice President of Data Science who enjoys bringing these experiences into the classroom.
