Cultivating Disagreement Teaching Symposium
Let’s help our students speak up and express disagreement!
Are your students comfortable disagreeing with each other?
Do they express their moral and political views?
Are your classes a space that supports respectful disagreement?
Join other WashU teachers for a conversation about methods and strategies for cultivating disagreement in our classrooms and on our campus. All WashU instructors (faculty, postdocs, grad students) are invited!
We’ll have hot breakfast and short presentations from:
- Anne Baril (Philosophy)
- Todd Decker (Music)
- Taewoong Kim (East Asian Languages and Cultures)
- Rebecca Sears (Classics)
Please register using the RSVP link below.
This event is organized by the Civil Society Initiative at WashU and is sponsored by the Frick Initiative and the Weidenbaum Center on the Economy, Government, and Public Policy.
